Description
These t-shirts have a story to tell… they were the product of the Dartmoor Youth Art competition which was run by the Dartmoor Preservation Association in collaboration with Roots Media. Each entrant was asked to create a Dartmoor themed or inspired piece of artwork, whether this be painted, sketched, or even digital. The Guardian T-shirt is one of the winning entries and was designed by Sophie Hobson.
The t-shirts are produced by Roots Media a CIC (Community Interest Company) which was initially set up as part of a business studies project. Themselves a group of young people they want to inspire others to take action in the fight against climate change.
The best bit is that all profit from the sale of these t-shirts goes towards the Girls do Dartmoor programme which enables young girls from disadvantaged backgrounds (aged 12-17) to connect with Dartmoor and as a result build confidence and resilience in themselves.
